Family Home
This study focuses on a small scale project that is located in suburbs. The site has a hillside in the middle that divides it into 2 parts. The proposed house takes advantage of this morphology to create different atmospheres. The „front“ part is lower and acts more representative, facing the public street. It has enough place for an open-air garage and a lot of space for its inhabitants to express themselves either with gardening skill or personal belongings. The "back" side is rised and has a contradictory feeling, its main goal is to be a personal space for the family to come together and provide space for their daily outdoor activity either for relaxation or sports activity.

The architecture itself tries not to draw too much attention, The combination of concrete, stone and glass gives the feeling of stability from the outside and provide an interesting look from the inside with the addition of wooden panels. The main entrance is accessed through a staircase from the side and leads directly into the center of the house. Upon entering, a direct view into the atrium is provided. The atrium is surrounded with large glass panels from two sides with thin frames and greenery to give a feeling of connectivity and openness. The corridor around atrium acts like the main house communication connecting the night zone and the day zone.

The day zone located at the west side of the house is the kitchen with living room, closely connected with the entrance to the atrium is the study, On the opposite eastern side, are the bedrooms, the orientation was chose so there is morning sun in the bedrooms waking the inhabitants naturally, and later in the day the sun is in the atrium and living room where the residents spend their time during day. With the presence of huge window pannels, there is plenty of natural light thru all times of the day, with the possibility of shading.
