The project focuses on setting new goals for a growing city. It has an area of 16km2 and a population of about 10,500 people. Among the city's strengths is its location, good transport links, places for development, rich history and locals interested in the culture. After analyzing the city we evaluated the industry zone as the most suitable for complex development. Amongs first input we started to adjust the traffic leading into the zone with new entrances and a road bypass into the center of the new industrial zone to make it more accessible and the rest of the area pleasant as the zone suffered from industrial transports.

One of the first goals was to set structural order and support local identity in the city and the new district, For these two composition axes were created. The main axis is directed from the city entrance to the Filakovo Castle. The castle that is also visible in the middle of the street panorama on this axis, The second one being a pedestrian boulevard is found parallel to the new industrial zone, it serves to establish an equal connection with the neighboring residential zone. This adjacency was created to build on the city's rich history of industrialism keeping it as part of the public life. The industry itself is not producing outside noise or pollution making it non-problematic in connection with public spaces. The next step was zoning, The ratio of public, private and semiprivate spaces is 1:1:1. It was a priority not just to provide space for living but also quality and versatile public spaces to fill the needs of inhabitants with different atmospheres and activities. The layout of the new compounds is designed across the new zone in the rhythm of existing spaces in the city.

The first zone is in contact with the Castle and the old city, the "Cultural Quarter" In this zone, we tried to preserve about 90% of the existing building and complete the space to offer a place for exhibitions, relax, wine display, workshop spaces and many more. Next zone "Flexible zone" is an area that has a modular system that allows it to react to the changes happening in the city and to change according to its needs. It can offer living, administration offices, even open up to create a plaza. Next two zones are the "Main Square" and the "Industrial zone". The cities main income is from industry, the biggest most productive industries were preserved and expanded. In adjacent to the Industrial quarter is the residential area that is divided into city living followed by row housing, family house finishing in the garden area. At the end between the Industrial and the Residental area is a newly formed forest-park. With its organic structure its a contrast to the newly formed zone offering a very different natural directly in the urban surrounding. In the hearth of the forrest we placed an auditorium for cultural opportunities. Its a Contrat in contrast.

The project is an urban study for large-scale urban expansion, for a 100-year vision. The proposal envisages an increase of 5,300 inhabitants in 1,980 apartments, 50 terraced family
houses, and 90 individual family houses. All the details in the design are thoughtful and creatively designed to create a variety of atmospheres that each would evoke different emotions.
